Our Organisation 

Nelson and Colne College Group is made up of a family of colleges – Nelson & Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning and Accrington & Rossendale College. Our College Group is now the only Further Education college in Lancashire to be graded as ‘Outstanding’ under the new Ofsted inspection framework.

Together the Group forms a Sixth Form, Skills and Technology Centre, University Centre, Employer Training and Adult Learning Provider delivering exceptional teaching and learning to all ages and at all levels.

The Exciting Role 

The College Group is looking for a Marketing Executive to join our expanding Marketing and Communications Team. This role will be predominantly based at Lancashire Adult Learning however flexibility is required in this role as the successful candidate will also be required to travel across any of the College campuses (Nelson and Colne College and Accrington and Rossendale College).

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager in the development and delivery of impactful marketing activity and collateral.
  • Planning, executing, tracking and measuring targeted and creative multichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Managing the Group websites and online communication channels, ensuring all content is accurate and up to date.
  • Working closely with the Events team to support on the delivery of engaging and effective student, staff and stakeholder events.
  • Scheduling and publishing social media posts according to the campaign calendar, ensuring timely and consistent messaging.
  • Producing marketing collateral, including leaflets, posters, podcasts and videos.
  • Create and curate engaging written content for social media posts, blog articles, newsletters and other collateral to seek opportunities for audience growth.
  • Analysing campaign activity to ensure effectiveness and to inform future activity.
  • Ensuring campaigns deliver maximum impact across the entire customer journey.
  • Ensuring creative thinking for all campaigns and projects.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Degree Level Qualification in a relevant field.
  • CIM or CIPR qualification.
  • A proven track record of creating/influencing innovative and creative multichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Proven track record of working with KPIs to analyse and measure effectiveness of activity, and using findings to inform future activity.
  • A proven track record of project management capability, keeping yourself on track and accountable.
  • Experience developing, measuring and reporting on KPIs.
  • Experience of building effective relationships and working as part of a team.

About Nelson and Colne College

Nelson and Colne College, located in the town of Nelson, Lancashire, offers further education to 1,600 full-time students and 3,500 part-time adults. The college was founded during the reorganisation of education in Pendle in the early 1970s and created by the merger of several local sixth forms. 

Recent investments have included a £2m engineering facility, an all-weather sports pitch and gym, fully equipped science laboratories, and student study and social spaces. In January 2017, Nelson and Colne College launched a university centre to offer a range of higher education programmes in East Lancashire and beyond.
