This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy.

Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a new Ministry and Leadership Trainee for our Foundation. This is a full-time role, working 45 hours per week, including evening and weekend commitments, during term time only. 

This role is unique in its scope and purpose in the context of a great community where fun, fellowship and faith are highly valued.

These roles typically suit young adults who are open to being developed and have a strong Christian faith which they are willing to share. You will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of teaching, ministry, sports, and a huge variety of activities; all in the context of a strong and caring community. Other roles and responsibilities to include:

  • Encourage all pupils in their faith, with training and support provided.
  • Assist the Chaplain in the administration and publicity of the Chapel and CU programmes.
  • Assisting coaching staff with PE and Hockey / Rugby / Netball sessions.
  • Take part in the life of a busy boarding school, which includes regular day, evening, and weekend duties plus school trips.
  • Help with covering lessons during a teacher’s absence and supervision of work rooms
