We are looking for a highly motivated Level 3+ Nursery Practitioner who can join our team to help provide an excellent provision. We believe outdoor learning is essential for children’s development. We embrace a play-based curriculum that encourages exploration, creativity, and a love for nature. We provide a safe, stimulating environment where children can learn and grow through hands-on experiences. As an Outdoor Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting children’s growth and learning. You’ll lead engaging outdoor activities, foster a sense of curiosity, and promote physical well-being through nature-based play. Is this you?

The successful candidate will:

Key responsibilities include:

✓ Create and implement outdoor learning activities to promote exploration and creativity.

✓ Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children.

✓ Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, an excellent team player.

✓ Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback and support.

✓ Encourage teamwork and collaboration among children in outdoor settings.

✓ Uphold our nursery's values and promote sustainability.

Starting salary: Grade 16 Point 2 currently £23,656 FTE, after 6 months successfully probation salary increases to Grade 14 Point 6 currently £25,183 FTE.

Start Date: 1st January 2025, or sooner if possible.

Location: Taunton

Hours: Full & Part Time Hours considered.

Contract: Permanent, All Year Round.

Huish Nurseries provide high quality care and education for children aged 2-4, open 49 weeks of the year from 8am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

Thank you for showing an interest in our school.  I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of Lyngford Park Primary which is a thriving primary school in Taunton, the County Town of Somerset. We are a good school and on a journey to further improve.

In January 2021, we joined The Richard Huish Trust and since then we have been working collectively with our new team of 5 Primary Schools, 1 Secondary School and the 6th From College, which are all local to us.

We have a strong and highly ambitious Senior Leadership Team who are constantly driving school improvement. We meet as a team to work collaboratively as we know we all learn best when we do so actively and with others. Each team enjoys PPA time together each week and all staff are supported by their Senior Leader colleagues and strong subject leaders. We also have half-termly staff meetings, which focus on our own mental health and well-being.

We place a great emphasis on delivering a creative curriculum built around core skills and emotional well-being. We strive to achieve success for all, regardless of ability.
