The Holmewood School is an Outstanding independent day school for neurodivergent children and young people (ages 7 to 19) with a primary diagnosis of Autism. We are proud of our Advanced Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Society (NAS) and our inclusive, dynamic community across three North London sites (Woodside Park, Muswell Hill, and Finchley Central).

We are seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). You’ll work alongside a full-time Occupational Therapist to support our students' diverse needs.

Your Role:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver tailored interventions for students aged 7-19.
  • Collaborate closely with the MDT and education colleagues to provide holistic OT input and training.
  • Work across all three sites as required to meet the needs of our students.
  • Access ongoing external training to support your professional development and ensure you have the skills needed for this role.

What We’re Looking For:

  • HCPC Registration and a Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • At least two years of experience working with autistic children and young people.
  • Strong knowledge of autism, neurodiversity, and relevant interventions (e.g., Sensory Integration, Executive Function Skills).
  • Flexibility, a sense of humour, resilience, reliability, and a passion for working with neurodivergent students.

Interview Process - Interviews will be held in two stages. The first stage will take place online via Google Meet with the MDT Lead. The second stage will consist of an in person interview with the MDT Lead and Headteacher and a written task.

About The Holmewood School

The Holmewood School is a growing independent day school for neurodivergent children and young people aged from 7 to 19 who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. Our young people are broadly similar to their mainstream peers in their academic ability but require support with communication and interaction, executive functioning, anxiety, functional skills and other needs related to their diagnosis. Many of our young people also have coaccurring diagnoses, such as ADHD and dyslexia.

We were awarded an Outstanding rating by Ofsted following their visit in May 2022 and we are proud to have Advanced Accreditation Status granted by the National Autistic Society.
