Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced IGCSE Science Teacher (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) to join our team on a part-time basis (30%). The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching IGCSE-level Science subjects. Experience with teaching IAL/A Level is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in IGCSE Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
- Teach with a focus on engaging and inspiring students.
- Support and guide students through personalised learning pathways, ensuring they progress through their courses at their own pace and according to their individual needs and levels.
- Plan, organise, and schedule timelines of course content as well as effective exam preparation for students working at different paces.
- Create lesson plans, content, and worksheets, and guide students through interactive lessons.
- Write reports and reflections while maintaining strong insight into the progress of each individual student.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience at Lucerne International School.
Qualifications:
- A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and a degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and/or A Level courses, preferably within the British International Curriculum.
- Proven experience in a hybrid-learning environment, with the ability to integrate online and face-to-face teaching effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English: C2 or Mother tongue.
- A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to provide a recent police clearance record.
- Two written references.
