Our Curriculum
We offer a flexible curriculum to suit students requiring one and two-year A level programmes with regular testing, a maximum class size of 10 students and an outstanding pastoral system to support students and teachers alike.
The Role
Edgbaston College wishes to appoint an experienced Psychology Teacher. We are ideally looking for a Psychology Teacher on a x0.4-0.6 timetable.
This is a permanent position for an enthusiastic and academically capable A-Level Psychology teacher starting in September 2024.
Job Description
The role requires you to teach A-Level Psychology students and support their learning; allowing them to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will develop, deliver, and support the College’s academic programmes in line with College standards and policies.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of an upper second-class or equivalent degree in Psychology or a Psychology-related subject from a strong university
- Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills
- Ability to develop positive rapport with students
- Commitment to the College and its ethos of preparing students for the next step in their life
- Previous teaching experience of A-Level Psychology is desirable
- Teachers are expected to contribute to the rich co-curricular life of the College
