The Academies are excited to announce an opportunity for a Pastoral Leader to join our dynamic and high-achieving Gateway team. We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual who can thrive in a non-teaching role, allowing them to fully focus on providing essential pastoral support to our students. As a Pastoral Leader, you will play a critical role in helping students achieve their full potential by addressing their pastoral needs, thus contributing to their academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work closely with both students and staff across multiple Academies. Your primary focus will be to ensure that each student's pastoral requirements are met, fostering an environment that enables high-quality education and excellent academic performance. This role is crucial in supporting the emotional and social well-being of students, ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed in their studies.

We are searching for a conscientious and dedicated team player with outstanding interpersonal skills. You should have a proven track record of working with secondary school students, particularly in managing large groups and supporting them in various aspects of school life. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying and addressing the needs of students, while fostering a positive and inclusive environment across our Academies.

Professional Development

As part of the Academies, you will have access to a broad range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities. Our staff benefits from a pool of expertise drawn not only from within the Academies but also from the broader United Learning group. This collective resource provides an excellent foundation for professional growth and development, ensuring that our staff can continuously evolve and adapt to meet the needs of our students and the wider educational landscape.

Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

The Academies are deeply committed to diversity and inclusion. We believe in building a more diverse workforce and are focused on creating a supportive, inclusive environment for all staff and students. We strongly encourage applications from professionals of minority ethnic backgrounds, as well as those from majority ethnic backgrounds who share our values of inclusivity and diversity. Our aim is to create a community where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute to the success of our students and the wider school community.

We are proud of the educational experience we offer, and we believe that the Pastoral Leader will play an integral role in continuing to uphold these high standards. By working alongside our committed teaching staff, the Pastoral Leader will contribute to ensuring that our students receive not only exceptional academic support but also the pastoral care needed to navigate their secondary school years successfully.
