Welcome to Future Schools Trust. Our Trust consists of two secondary schools, one primary school and one nursery at the heart of our local community in the Maidstone and Malling area of Kent. FST was legally established as a Multi Academy Trust (MAT) in September 2007.

Job Description

We are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer to join our central services team for the new academic year. This role is all year round, full time, Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-15:30.

Additionally, for candidates with an interest or qualification in HR, we are open to creating a dual role that incorporates HR Officer responsibilities, including managing the colleague lifecycle processes.


This role is based at our New Line Learning/ Cornwallis Academy offices with some remote working. 


The successful candidate will have:


• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with payroll and pensions and ideally experience of working in the Education sector,

• High levels of literacy, numeracy, and financial analysis,

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to independently organise and prioritise work and manage time effectively,

• Ability to use initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure,

• Ability to learn quickly, understand detail and translate that to a level that stakeholders can understand,

• Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with people at all levels.
