Job overview
Inner London Teachers’ Main or Upper Pay Scale
Required for January 2025 or later start, permanent contract.
We are looking to appoint a primary PE teacher to lead and teach PE, sport and games. Start date is flexible, January 2025 is preferred but you could be contractually tied until April 2025 or prefer a September 2025 start.
Our specialist PE teacher takes classes while their teachers have planning, preparation and assessment time. You will teach every class in the school from Reception to year 6 each week, coach sports teams to represent the school in competitions and offer a range of after-school sports clubs. You will work closely with, and manage the work of, a PE instructor.
PE specialists who want to focus on teaching their love of PE, sport and games in a primary school rather than teaching a class and the whole primary curriculum are especially encouraged to apply. This vacancy is not suitable as a first post for early career teachers.
Our four-form entry school is vibrant with pupils who care about health, sport and competitive games:
• conscientious pupils who are keen to learn and take part in PE lessons;
• pupils who want to take part in local sports competitions, including disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs;
• sports squads and recreational sports clubs before and after school.
Fielding Primary School serves the Northfields area of Ealing. Our teachers are enthusiastic, committed to improving outcomes for children with a passion for learning through a meaningful, creative curriculum.
Our children are fantastic, interested in learning and exceptionally well behaved. Facilities and resources are excellent, standards and achievement are high. Visits are encouraged or find out more from our website, http://www.fieldingprimary.com
