The Invictus International Program (IIP) for ages 2.5 to 11, is developed jointly by Invictus International School in Singapore and Sathitpathum Demonstration School in Pathum Thani, Thailand. The IIP offers a high-quality education leading to the Cambridge International Education.
IIP seeks a dynamic and experienced Key Stage 2 teacher, who is committed to child-led, inquiry-based learning to join our fantastic team. The primary class teacher's role will be that of a generalist teacher and a homeroom teacher.
Main Job and Responsibilities of Class Teacher
The successful candidate will:
- Be accountable to the Head Teacher for the conduct, management and administration of their class responsibilities, subject to school policy
- Establish and maintain a safe, purposeful and positive learning environment
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all children, caregivers and the wider school community
- Attend to the physical, social and emotional needs of the children as required
- Ensure opportunities for purposeful interactions, questioning and vocabulary to support learning and use this effectively when planning future experiences
- Ensure that the planning, observation and assessment cycle is completed, reviewed, and appropriately communicated to line managers/parents
- Provide a stimulating and attractive environment in line with the school ethos
- Provide written reports and informal dialogue to parents on the development and progress of their children
- Support and lead the staff team within their classroom and wider school where appropriate
- Ensure consistent classroom/behavior management strategies are applied by all staff within their team
- Work as a part of the wider school team in planning and implementing the school's curriculum, strategic plans and policies
- Understand the need to safeguard children in according with the school policy
Successful applicants will have
- Minimum 2 to 4 years of teaching in an international school at the Key Stage 2 level
- Bachelor’s degree in Primary school education, iPGCE, or equivalent
- Sound knowledge and experience in working with the International Cambridge Curriculum and Singapore Math Pedagogy
- Excellent communication, problem solver, teamwork and organizational skills
- Ability to manage changes and show resilience
