Receptionist/Admin Officer - Alderwood Junior School

 

37 hours per week

Monday to Wednesday 8.15am – 4.15pm, Thursday to Friday 8.15 am - 4.00 pm  

Term time plus one week

 

We are seeking to appoint a receptionist/admin officer to work within our busy junior school office. The successful candidate will be hard working, flexible and will enjoy working collaboratively in a friendly and supportive environment where the goal is to secure the best possible outcomes for students.

 

As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, pupils and members of staff, you will be experienced and confident in delivering a high level of customer service. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a professional approach and a high standard of presentation. 

 

You will have previous administrative experience in a busy office environment, excellent written and oral communications skills and proficient in all Microsoft office programmes. The role would suit an enthusiastic individual who is able to multi-task, willing to learn and develop, and who is flexible and adaptable in their approach.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Able to communicate effectively with all staff, students and parents
  • Willing to work as part of a team and make every effort to maintain the Alderwood values
  • Committed to the safeguarding of students
  • Motivated, organised and has a friendly, positive and calm approach
  • Confident to administer first aid (training will be provided)
  • Able to work under pressure and deal with confidential matters
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and Bromcom systems (training will be given)
  • Able to undertake training as required
