We are now looking for a Safeguarding & Welfare Manager to join our team. This is a varied role; you will play a key role in child protection processes including acting as an academy Designated Child Protection Officer, managing the medical needs of students in line with academy policy and procedures, maintaining accurate student medical records, co-ordinating programmes of support for identified students within college and supporting the development of programmes which focus on students’ attitudinal and academic development.

 

What are we looking for?

·      5 or more GCSE’s at Grade 5/C (or equivalent) including Maths and English

·      First aid qualification with experience of administering first aid

·      Experience of successfully working with young people (of a relevant age)

·      Experience of working in a busy organisation and dealing with confidential matters

·      Experience of working with young people with medical or other needs would be an advantage but is not essential.

·      Excellent IT skills
