Grade 5 point 5-6 £23,893 -£24,294 per annum pro rata

Actual Salary: £19,979 -£20,314 per annum (£12.39 - £12.59 per hour)

Permanent, 37 hours per week, term time only Monday – Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm 

The main duties of the role include but are not limited to:

·        Assisting in ensuring a safe, effective & efficient laboratory service.

·        Providing technical advice & assistance in the classroom.

·        Preparation on teaching materials, worksheets, booklets etc

·        Ensuring that health & safety requirements & other relevant regulations are adhered to.

·        Providing administrative support, such as data gathering, inputting data, filing and photocopying.

·        Supporting the Senior and Assistant Science Technician in undertaking and updating faculty risk assessments and maintaining an up to date file.

·        Assisting in keeping a record of stock and ordering supplies as and when required.

Responsible to the Faculty Leader for Science and Physical Education you will work alongside the Senior Science Technician and be required to work closely with teaching and non-teaching staff and have contact with students, parents, suppliers and others.
