Job overview

THE CASCO SECONDARY SCHOOL

The Casco Schools are looking to appoint enthusiastic and passionate Secondary School Science teacher to work in our supportive and dynamic team. All positions will start in August 2025.

As bilingual British international schools, The Casco Schools were established in 2019 to provide high-quality education in Panama. We currently offer preschool, primary and secondary school. Our schools are united by one philosophy: we aim to inspire our students to learn, explore and soar, developing them into confident, creative and balanced global citizens who face challenges with determination, eagerness and excitement.

The Casco School is unique in character, offering a truly engaging global education for students. Our campuses are nestled in two of Panama's vibrant neighbourhoods: the main business district, Costa del Este, and next to the Panama Canal in the north of the city, Albrook. Our Secondary School is located in Albrook, surrounded by sports fields, parks, restaurants and historical buildings once connected to the operation of the Canal.

Our Secondary School is creative, dynamic, and based around a strong community of families all seeking a neighbourhood school with a difference. We currently have over 100 students in Years 7-12, representing 35 countries from 6 continents, all wishing to align with our international ethos. Because we are preparing our students for international examinations in English, 80% of our subjects are taught in English. We do not expect you to have a full grasp of Spanish, just a positive attitude in wanting to learn.

We offer an unparalleled standard of personalised education with opportunities for students to explore their creative and entrepreneurial talents and learn in small groups from a talented and cohesive team of international educators. As a member of our team, we truly value and wish to utilise your skills and experience. Being a purposefully smaller school, our leaders and teachers all know each child on our campus as we are passionate about building a community-driven school. Working closely with the leadership team, teachers and students play an integral role in the planning and design of all aspects of our curriculum and campus as we expand our facilities and add our Year 13 class in 2025.
