We are looking for a well-qualified and passionate Secondary English teacher to join our school.

Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering effective, high-quality instruction.
- Contributing to students’ pastoral care to ensure their physical and emotional welfare.
- Implementing strong classroom management in accordance with the school’s high behavior expectations.
- Preparing students to meet internal and external examination program requirements and achieve growth by implementing the SABIS® Educational System™ and philosophy to assigned classes. Click here for more information about the SABIS® Educational System™.
- Monitoring academic progress and engaging in data analysis of assigned classes and individual students.
- Proctoring and marking tests in accordance with the exam schedule and material provided by the school.
- Providing support for students with low academic performance with a view to helping them improve and become motivated to reach their full potential.
- Working in cooperation with administrators in support of students’ learning and overall educational experience.
- Communicating effectively and collaborating with colleagues about student growth and development.
- Contributing to the day-to-day operation of the school by assisting with duties, which could include, but are not limited to administering diagnostic tests to/marking diagnostic tests of prospective students, proctoring, substituting for absent teachers, supervising students at lunch or dismissal, contributing to assigned supervision throughout the school campus.
- Preparing for and participating in parent-teacher conferences when scheduled by the school.
- Attending school functions in support of the school community.
- Attending scheduled training sessions order to enhance the understanding of the SABIS® Educational System™ and/or improve teacher performance.
- Performing such other tasks or projects related to the role of Teacher as they arise and/or as delegated by the school management.

Ideal Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent
- High level of English proficiency required
- Experience in external exam teaching advantageous (IGCSE, IB Diploma & AP)
- Familiarity with MS Office
- Communication Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team

OUR SCHOOL
The ISF International School Frankfurt Rhein-Main – founded by the City of Frankfurt, the State of Hesse, and multi-national corporations in September 1995 – offers world-class education from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12/13. We are an independent, co-educational, whole-day school situated in the heart of the Rhein-Main region of Germany offering non-sectarian, English language instruction.
Approximately 100 teachers and 50 administrative staff, the majority of whom are from the U.S., the U.K., and Germany, work at ISF. The school’s German, French, Spanish, Korean, and Japanese teachers are all native speakers. Some teachers have been working at the school since it first opened in 1995.
OUR CAMPUS
Besides complete academic facilities, the campus has exceptional outdoor and indoor sports facilities including a grass football pitch, complete track and field facilities, two tennis courts, a semi-Olympic indoor swimming pool and gymnasium. The two-story Library and a beautiful 400-seat theater complete this fine ISF campus.
OUR SCHOOL YEAR
The school year runs from the end of August through to the end of June. The 3 terms are between 12 and 13 weeks in length. The working week is Monday to Friday and the school day is 8:00am to 4:10pm. There are many after-school activities that are led by students, staff, parents, and outside instructors. During the school year, there are approximately 6 weeks of vacation: one week in October, two weeks for Christmas/New Year’s, one winter week in February and two weeks for Spring Break. There are also the occasional German public holidays. In total there are 180 school teaching days as well as two weeks of staff training and orientation before the start of the school year.
OUR CURRICULUM
ISF offers a rigorous college- and life-preparatory curriculum. All students at ISF learn German, and a third language is taken by students starting in Grade 6. Students who complete their secondary education at ISF have the following options of diplomas and/or external exams:
- ISF High School Diploma, which is awarded upon the satisfactory completion of the graduation requirements
- British International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), which is taken by students at the end of Grade 10 or Grade 11
- The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, exams for which are taken by students at the end of Grade 12 or 13. ISF has been an IB World School since August 2007.
- American Advanced Placement (AP): Individual exams, which are typically taken at the end of Grade 12 or the AP Capstone Diploma, which is completed by students at the end of Grade 12
