We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional Secondary Teacher - Design Technology/Food and Nutrition to join our Secondary team for the academic year 2025/2026.
If you are a highly motivated professional, passionate about education, wanting to learn and develop yourself and support a vibrant close community, Nadeen could be the place for you.
We seek to appoint dedicated team members to join our community who are committed to ensuring that learners have the best educational experience possible and are able to achieve at the highest levels. Whether you are joining our teaching or support teams all colleagues are equally valued and play important roles in supporting our learners to be the best that they can be.
Our School
Nadeen School opened in 1978 in converted villas with a philosophy to educate the whole child to be creative and imaginative learners, connected to the community and to our environment. Just over a year ago, we moved into a brand new building with state-of-the-art facilities situated in Dilmunia. We weren’t able to bring the chickens with us but plans are afoot to develop eco-responsibility and to bring additional opportunities to connect with nature and the local environment in a sustainable way.
Our Philosophy
Fostering creative thinking and enterprising learning is essential to empowering individuals to grow and thrive, academically, socially and environmentally, in an ever-changing world. By encouraging curiosity, risk-taking, and problem-solving, we cultivate a mindset that embraces innovation and adapts to new challenges. Supporting learners in this journey involves creating environments where exploration is encouraged, diverse perspectives are valued, and failure is seen as a step towards academic success. As we inspire the next generation of mavericks, we equip them with the skills and resilience needed to pursue their passions with purpose, helping them not only excel academically but also contribute meaningfully to society with a cause that drives them. By nurturing their potential, we unlock a future where creativity, entrepreneurship and environmental responsibility become catalysts for positive change.
Our Vision
To be a place where minds can rise and soar,
Where learners dream and seek for more.
Where progress blends with roots held tight,
Guiding confidently towards what's right.
Inspiring a community, where learners embrace their individuality: rooted in values that prepare them to disrupt positively and shape the world with purpose.
Work Learn Flourish - WOLF
Our school mascot is the Nadeen Wolf.
In the artwork, you can see these three components which all come together to form our Nadeen Wolf. In the centre of our mascot is the Nadeen School flower which has been part of the school since 1978, a representation of our community and history. Surrounding the flower is Arabic calligraphy which represents our place in Bahrain and honors the rich heritage of the country and region in which we all live. Written in that calligraphy is the message of our wolf – a quote from The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.
“…the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.”
At Nadeen, we all, children, adults and our community, learn to WoLF - work, learn, and flourish together.
Our School Structure and Community
We currently have well over 800 learners in the school and we are growing. We currently have learners from age 2 in the nursery through to year 10 and will continue to expand in full in the secondary school.
We are a fully inclusive school with a passion for ensuring that every learner is able to succeed regardless of their starting points. Building on the principle we have opened a Thrive provision this year for a small number of learners with complex needs.
Our learning community is made up of around a third of Bahraini learners with the rest being drawn from the wide-ranging expatriate community in Bahrain with learners coming from around 60 plus different countries and cultures. The curriculum is based on the National Curriculum for England (NCfE) and all teaching is in English.
Our learners are enthusiastic, articulate and motivated young people who want to do well and engage in active enquiry-based lessons where you as the teacher facilitate their learning experiences in creative ways that stretch their thinking and engage them in innovative and enterprising learning opportunities.
