Livingstone Academy Bournemouth (LAB) is an innovative new school for children aged 4 to 18 which opened in September 2021 in the heart of Bournemouth. Our ambition is to ensure that all young people leave school equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in their future lives and careers in the digital age. Young people must be creative, critical thinkers who can create technology as well as consume it.

LAB is going into its fourth year in a new building complex in Lansdowne in Central Bournemouth serving Reception, Years 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 and 10 with up to 810 pupils. At capacity, we will have 1510 students, serving ages from 4 to 18.

The successful candidate:

We are looking to recruit an exceptional candidate for the role of Teaching and Learning Support Assistant to join our growing team at Livingstone Academy Bournemouth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting access to learning for students and provide support to the teacher in the management of the classroom, individual students or groups of students who may have particular requirements. Ultimately, we are looking for a committed candidate with an uncompromising belief that all students deserve an outstanding education. They will uphold our inclusive ethos and provide opportunities for all students to progress well. 

At Livingstone Academy we believe that an early education should prioritise children's emotional wellbeing, resilience and play based inquiry. We want to ensure learning is applicable and transferable.

The LSA will play a key part in supporting pupils and staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

● Qualifications at least to level 2 or equivalent

Hours: Varied positions available, part time and full time.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks per year)
