Welcome from the Principal

I am very proud to lead the team at Ryecroft Primary Academy where staff and parents work together in partnership to ensure that we provide our children with opportunities enabling them to be the best they can be.

The academy is a smaller than average primary school catering for pupils from our 2-year old provision and our Early Years Foundation Stage, through Key Stage 1 and into Key Stage 2. There are currently 281 pupils on roll, including 24 part time Nursery pupils and 11 part time 2-year-olds.

The academy is situated in the community of Holmewood Bradford.

The academy has been on a journey and is now judged as a good school (January 2019). Children learn best when they feel safe and secure and we endeavour to provide a stimulating safe environment where children can excel. The academy has high expectations of behaviour for learning so that the pupils can achieve the best outcomes possible.

The academy’s curriculum is broad and balanced and carefully planned to engage the pupils’ interests. Pupils enjoy activities such as trumpets, Forest Schools, jujitsu and Active maths.
