What You’ll Be Doing:
Empowering Pupils:
- Work closely with individual pupils or small groups, supporting their learning and development.
- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track progress to ensure every pupil reaches their potential.
- Create an inclusive atmosphere, ensuring all pupils have access to learning opportunities and feel valued.
Supporting Teachers:
- Assist in delivering tailored lessons that meet the unique needs of SEN pupils.
- Provide valuable feedback to teachers on pupil progress, helping to refine teaching strategies.
- Help prepare and organize classroom resources to enhance the learning experience.
Making an Impact School-Wide:
- Contribute to the school's overall ethos by promoting a supportive, inclusive culture.
- Engage in training and professional development to continue growing your skills and expertise.
- Help maintain accurate records and assist the SENCO in managing resources effectively.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child’s progress.
- Collaborate with external agencies to provide the best possible support for our pupils.
- Work closely with fellow staff members to ensure consistency and continuity in the support provided to students.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is preferred, though a passion for supporting young learners is key.
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach to working in a school environment.
- A solid understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Proactive, flexible, and ready to make a difference in a dynamic school setting.
