They are searching for someone who is passionate about Curriculum developing including high quality teaching & learning focused on impact, and keeps up to date with developments in the field, has extensive experience and knowledge of supporting pupils with communication difficulties, autism, global developmental delay, trauma, ADHD and other related conditions. 

They are searching for someone who has experience in teaching a range of subjects with focus on Preparation for Adulthood, Careers and Qualifications. 

You will be working collaboratively with their Senior Leadership team, Class Teachers, Therapy Team and Teaching Support staff. 

They want someone who can ensure that teaching and learning follows the school’s neuro-diversity affirming approach and the school’s Curriculum Policy including adaptive learning for each Curriculum Pathway;

This is a growing Independent Special day school based in Saltash in Cornwall. The school caters for pupils from 5 to 16 with a range of special educational needs. 

Their Mission: Through engaging, innovative and bespoke approaches to learning, they provide pupils with fulfilling and meaningful experiences that prepare them for the next steps in their education and skills for life.

Their Vision: To be recognised as a centre of excellence for the education of pupils who present primarily with cognitive communication and sensory needs.

They are looking for a professional who can demonstrate knowledge of the secondary curriculum, who can plan, teach and assess effectively, it would be advantageous if you have a good working knowledge of individual education plans and education, health and care plans, and have SEND experience.

You will work closely with the school’s curriculum lead to assist with the planning, developing and delivering secondary education. They are looking for an adaptable, responsible professional who can provide high-quality learning for all their pupils to help them achieve.

You will be joining a committed Independent Special Educational school that is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK.

They undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’.

All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
