Job overview

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a proven track record of success to join our trust School Support Team (SST), which includes our Director of Inclusion, our MATDSL, our Director for Attendance, Behaviour and Personal Development and primary SEND and Inclusion Leads. Our SST also includes subject specialists, passionate about adaptive teaching and a strong, inclusive curriculum. We are firm believers that ‘every leader is a leader of SEND’.

As a SEND and Inclusion Lead, your priority will be the improvement of holistic outcomes for all our children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities and children who are disadvantaged. You will provide support and challenge to leaders in our schools, with a focus on supporting and developing our brilliant school-based SENCOs and Inclusion AHTs. This will complement the support provided by the Educational Psychology service that we invest in for all our schools.

This fixed-term, part time (0.6) position for the 2024/5 academic year offers an ideal opportunity for an experienced SENCO (Special Education Needs Co Ordinator) or school leader experienced in leading inclusion, to support school development across several schools.

What we are looking for

The role is varied and exciting and includes offering in-school support, coaching, facilitating professional development programmes and creating resources to support schools. You will be a qualified teacher and have both management and extensive teaching and inclusion experience across the primary phase, ideally including nursery phase.

About GLF Schools

GLF currently has 35 schools in the primary phase, one of which has recently opened a local authority ‘resourced-base’ provision for children with Communication and Interaction needs. We have 8 secondary schools. Most of our schools are in Oxfordshire, Wokingham, Surrey, Croydon and West Sussex. Therefore, this role does involve travelling to schools, as well as some remote working opportunities.
