All Saint's Catholic Voluntary Academy has a fantastic opportunity for a Site Technician to join our team. With previous experience in an estates and facilities management or caretaking role, you will have the skills and ability to carry out basic maintenance to buildings and equipment.

You will be responsible for the security of the premises and its contents, compliance with building health & safety regulations, the operation of the premises, operation of fire and burglar alarms, lighting and heating and ensuring the effective cleaning of the premises. You will carry out maintenance duties*, supervise lettings and manage contractors.

About the role:

Starting in September 2024, this is a permanent, part-time, role working 30 hours per week on a mornings/afternoons rotating shift basis, all year round. The working week is Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours work where required. 

As Site Technician you will:

  • Effectively supervise and support cleaning services.
  • Work on own initiative and to demonstrate the ability to solve unexpected or new problems in a methodical, efficient manner.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks in a professional manner with health, safety and safeguarding at the fore.
  • Learn new skills and expand current skills and pass on knowledge and techniques to others.
  • Demonstrate good general interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Deal with conflicting demands and work flexibly.
  • Be a key player in ensuring the high standards of compliance are maintained and that facilities are safe and the best that they can be.
  • Be able to carry our building repairs.
  • Work closely with the Head Teacher, the Trust Director and the Trust Central Team, focussing on delivering high quality and safe learning and teaching environment.
  • Have knowledge of Health and Safety that is essential to this role as well as being able to communicate effectively.

All Saints’ Catholic Academy is a mixed, non-selective Roman Catholic secondary school with sixth form situated in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. The school has approximately 1,500 students between the ages of 11-18. All Saints’ Catholic Academy is part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi Academy Trust.

Formerly All Saints RC Comprehensive School, All Saints’ Catholic Academy opened in 1974 and converted to academy status in 2014.
