The Spiritual Wellbeing Lead y is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual roots of our community. Our Spiritual Wellbeing Leads create a welcoming environment where students receive emotional and spiritual support. In this sacred space, Spiritual Wellbeing Leads engage with students on their unique spiritual journeys, encouraging introspection and reflection. Through authentic and transformative dialogues, students are empowered to thrive on their individual paths. Additionally, Spiritual Wellbeing Leads introduce students to spiritual practices such as guided meditation and yoga, fostering a sense of harmony and wellbeing.

What will you do?

  • To contribute to the Spiritual Insight provision at the school
  • To support the spiritual and emotional development of students and staff by providing drop-in sessions
  • To develop the Chaplaincy at Avanti House Secondary School so that it contributes to the provision of the Avanti Way, including its implementation and assessing its impact.
  • Support the Pastoral and Inclusion teams in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • To lead staff and student wellbeing discussion groups

What are we looking for?

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and presentation skills
  • Creativity to develop our new chaplaincy at Avanti House Secondary School
  • Exceptional listening skills and empathic communication skills
  • Ability to integrate and work as part of the pastoral team
  • Have developed knowledge and a wholesome understanding of the major world religions
  • Experience of leading faith-related activities in an educational setting
