STUDY SUPERVISOR

29 hours per week, term time only

Grade 6 (actual salary £18,797.02)

Following the successful application of a current team member to start their teacher training, we are looking to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic study supervisor to join our fantastic team of staff.

This is an ideal role for anyone considering a move into teaching, and will provide valuable experience for an application for a training position.  We have a strong history of supporting colleagues to pursue their subject passions into permanent teaching positions.

Your primary role will be working in classrooms across the secondary age range and in all curriculum areas; where you will be responsible for leading the completion of work set by the class teacher. You will also gain valuable experience working with our teams of specialists supporting students with additional needs.

You will also be able to join our extensive programme of professional development alongside current teaching and teaching support staff.

Woodlands Community College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a community state school within the Southampton Education Authority.  A secondary school with places for 900 students between the ages of 11-16, currently oversubscribed with 905 students currently on roll.

The school was opened by then-minister for schools David Miliband in 2003.
