Job overview

Taunton School International (TSI) was set up in 1996 to provide a first step for international students wishing to complete their education in a British school. TSI runs Senior and Junior Summer Schools, for an eight-week period in July and August, which are innovative short-term courses that are attractive to students from around the world and which showcase the best that the School has to offer.

The School are seeking a student-focused individual with relevant commercial expertise to organise, market and manage our international Summer School for a period of maternity cover.

As Summer School Director, you will be responsible for liaising with relevant internal and external stakeholders to co-ordinate and implement an innovative and attractive high-quality Summer School offer for inbound students; ensuring the effective use of internal and external resources to maximise profitability against budgetary targets.

The successful candidate will be ambitious and highly motivated and will enjoy the challenge of organising, running and managing our Summer Schools. You will be able to successfully and effectively manage a range of considerations such as the student experience, stakeholder management, financial and recruitment objectives, marketing and analysis and will be experienced in organising and running profit-making summer schools. An understanding of the international education industry is essential to this role. A skilled communicator, you will be able to interact with, persuade and influence at all levels; you will be organised and driven with high levels of attention to detail.

The post is a fixed term contract (of up to 12 months maternity cover), 37.5 hours per week working Monday to Friday, all year round. However, a degree of flexibility will be required to meet the demands of the role and the needs of the business, with longer hours during the Summer School period and some weekend working too.
