We are looking for an outstanding and innovative Teacher of Business Studies to join our Art, Design and Technology Faculty, bringing excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm to the Faculty whilst developing and promoting the Business and Enterprise curriculum area. In our school, Business and Enterprise are both popular subjects where pupils achieve excellent outcomes.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, creative and committed to delivering engaging and challenging lessons, which will inspire pupils to reach or exceed their potential. You will be able to teach Business and Enterprise to pupils of all ages and abilities across KS3 and vocational courses, such as the Cambridge National Certificate in Enterprise and Marketing (level 1 and 2), at KS4. If you have a passion for Business/Enterprise and can help pupils understand the important role that the subject plays in developing successful learners, responsible citizens and confident individuals, then we want to hear from you. There may also be a TLR opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified individual – please address this in your application.

Now part of the Stamford Park Trust, Fairfield is a highly popular and oversubscribed 11-16 girls’ Academy with just under 1000 pupils and we have a reputation for outstanding teaching and learning. This is achieved through a supportive programme of personal development, high expectations of pupil behaviour, academic rigour and a strongly inclusive ethos. Fairfield High School for Girls is a non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 academy for girls, situated in Droylsden in Manchester. The school, which converted to an academy in 2011, has 981 girls on its roll. 

Fairfield High School is one of the oldest all-girls schools in the country; in was founded in 1796, when Sister Mary Tyrrell opened a small girls' boarding school. In September 2004, as part of the Specialist Schools Programme, the secondary school became a Science College.
