The City of Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College is a thriving, lively and successful Sixth Form College, at the heart of the University Quarter in Stoke on Trent. The College is part of the Potteries Educational Trust working collaboratively with educational institutions from across Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. The College is currently graded Good by Ofsted.

We are actively seeking people with passion, expertise and who are excited about supporting students on their career journey. Having recent industry sector experience is advantageous. The College is supportive of new entrants into the teaching profession. 

This is a full time position commencing January 2025 or sooner, however part time applications will also be considered. Please state your preference on your application form.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and successful teacher of Digital courses to meet the demands of expansion within the department. The College currently offers A Level Computer Science, T Level qualifications in Digital Production, Design & Development (Software and Website development) and Digital Support services (Cyber Security). The successful candidate may be required to teach on any of the above courses. The ideal candidate will have experience in some of the following: Python GUI programming, PhP, SQL, web development including client and server side programming and /or other high level programming experience, networking, cyber security and project management. Good technical background, knowledge of hardware and the ability to supervise and support students in their programming projects and written assignments will be essential. 

We welcome applications from candidates with industry background and will support attaining a teaching qualification as required. There may be opportunities for additional responsibility for the right candidate.
