We are currently seeking to employ an experienced Teacher of Drama (Maternity Cover) for Jumeirah College, Dubai. This appointment is for September 2024 start to February 2025.

This success enables our students to move on to the very top universities around the world, including Cambridge, UCL, Stanford, Monash and Toronto.

The Post

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Drama (Maternity Cover) to join the College. The successful candidate will be working in an exceptional department which is both extremely popular and successful. Behaviour in the College is ‘outstanding’ and the positive relationships between student and teacher, alongside the highly motivated students means that teachers can focus on teaching their subject.

As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Jumeirah College.

Skills

The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in effective teaching and helping students succeed. While experience in teaching the National Curriculum for England is preferred, outstanding teachers from any curriculum background are encouraged to apply. A genuine passion for working in a non-selective and culturally diverse community is also a key requirement. Additionally, the candidate should possess:

  • A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England. 
  • Already under sponsorship a preference.
