St Edward’s Oxford is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join a thriving department from January 2025.

You will plan, prepare and deliver engaging Geography teaching at GCSE and A Level, as well as for the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the Sixth Form. You must be capable of delivering Physical Geography teaching at Sixth Form level. You will also be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, you will demonstrate outstanding classroom practice and will have a proven track record of building and maintaining good relationships with pupils. You will also possess excellent organisation, communication and IT skills.

St Edward’s has its own salary scale and benefits; accommodation in North Oxford may be available.

Geography at St Edward’s 

Geography is flourishing at the School, and is a popular option at IGCSE, A Level and as part of the IB Diploma. The Department boasts a thriving Geography Society, with close links with the Geographical Association, hosting numerous lectures, seminars and revision courses throughout the academic year. Recent speakers have included Danny Dorling, Patricia Daley and Tim Marshall. We also run domestic trips in the UK, as well as internationally. Our most recent international field trip was to Iceland.
