We are looking for an inspirational classroom practitioner to complement the Maths team at Lawnswood School. An opportunity to teach mathematics should be seen as an exciting prospect and the opening currently available at Lawnswood School is far more than ‘just another maths job’.

We are on a journey that is revolutionising the student experience, both departmentally and whole school. The fabric of our school is based on continuous improvement and commitment to progression. To accommodate this in maths, we make a significant financial investment in our partnership programmes and have a collective commitment to deliver improvement and innovation in the classroom and across the wider school community.

Our improvement strategy is not based on annual trends. We are striving to achieve lasting change in staff and students so that maths outcomes are predictably excellent and that all of our students leave with true skills for life.

We look forward to receiving applications from experienced and ECT candidates.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.

For further information about the role and to download an application form (teacher version), please visit www.lawnswoodschool.co.uk/key-information/vacancies and send your completed application with a covering letter (no more than two A4 sides) addressed to Mrs J. Bell, to hr@elawnswood.co.uk, or you can send your application to the address above.

Closing date:  Monday 9 December 2024 at 9am

Ofsted

“The ambition and total commitment of the headteacher has raised the expectations of students and staff. This has resulted in significant improvements in the quality of teaching so that the school and inspectors judge more than three-quarters of teaching is now good or better.”

“Students’ achievement is now good overall, especially in the sixth form, where students make strong progress from relatively low starting points and achieve above the national average. All aspects of provision in the sixth form are at least good and some are outstanding.”
