Job overview

A Teacher of Music (part time 0.6 FTE) required to support the Director of Music to secure positive and aspirational outcomes for all students.

To aim for the highest possible standards of educational provision through the achievement of rigorous targets which support the development priorities of the School.

The department works across both the Prep, Senior School and Sixth Form, making the day-to-day teaching diverse, exciting and rewarding. Therefore, the ability to teach across the range of key stages at Embley, is an advantage.

To support the implementation of the vision of the school in co-curricular and enrichment terms for pupils. Numerous performance opportunities take place across the academic year, both formal and informal. Our annual school musical takes place at The Theatre Royal in Winchester and the Pit Band for this production is mainly made up of student instrumentalists. The school’s annual carol services take place at Romsey Abbey.

Experience in leading choirs would be advantageous.
