Job Title:    Teacher of Geography

Hours:        15 hours per week (0.2 fte)

Salary Grade:  United Learning payscale pro rata £14,000 - £20,400 (£35,000 to £51,000 per annum fte

Key tasks:

  • To be a member of the Science department and under the direction of the Head of Science, contribute to the high standards of teaching and learning and the raising of standards of achievement.
  • To contribute to providing high-quality Learning and Teaching within a subject area

and across the Academy, ensuring maximum success for all.

  • To be a role model for the Academy community and raise levels of student achievement.
  • To use excellent subject knowledge to teach the course content.
  • To use technology to support teaching, which is engaging and exciting.
  • To motivate, support and challenge students to ensure that they have good attitudes to learning.
  • To demonstrate professional characteristics at all times with all stakeholders, colleagues, students and parents.
  • To contribute to the Academy’s continuous improvement.
