Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, passionate, and inspirational teacher of Social Science that has excellent subject knowledge and is able to contribute to continued improvements in progress and student attainment.

Prior experience of teaching Sociology is a requirement for the post and preferably potential candidates will be familiar with the WJEC GCSE and AQA A level Sociology syllabus and the examination requirements. Experience teaching psychology and criminology would be an advantage.

The Trust now comprises of Bluecoat Aspley Academy, Bluecoat Sixth Form, Bluecoat Wollaton Academy, Bluecoat Beechdale Academy, Bluecoat Primary Academy, The Nottingham Emmanuel School and Sixth Form, Bluecoat Trent Academy, The Long Eaton School, Lees Brook Academy, Alvaston Moor Academy and the Bluecoat SCITT Alliance (School Centred Initial Teacher Training).

The successful candidate will be committed to the students and academy life and will possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to raise the standards of learning for all of the students that they are required to work with.

Hours of work: Part-time, maternity cover, two days a week to include Fridays.
