The Role
We are now looking for a Teaching and Learning Officer to join the team. It is the job of the team, led by an Assistant Head, to cultivate and ensure the quality of our teaching. This role will be expected to help develop and deliver the various training programmes that TCW offers to its new and experienced teachers. Areas covered include effective marking, de-escalation & behaviour management techniques, delivering creative lessons and assessment for learning. The role also involves conducting constructive observations of our teaching staff that are teaching on a 1-to-1 basis offsite in homes and libraries and working with the staff to foster talent through line management and targeted training.

Salary: From £29,870.36 FTE per annum
Hours:
Monday - Wednesday - 8.30am - 4.30pm
Thursday - 8.30am - 6.00pm (we do training every Thursday afternoon)
Friday - 8.30am - 4.00pm
You will need
Essential
- Qualifications: An honours degree or equivalent professional qualification. Preferably QTS
- Experience of teaching and delivering high quality lessons
- A charismatic trainer able to engage staff
- Strong people management skills with the ability and knowledge to motivate,
train, develop, appraise and manage a team
Desirable
- Experience of working in a charity or creative environment
- Knowledge of safeguarding matters
