We are looking to recruit a Level 2 Teaching Assistants on a Permanent contract to join the existing team in our Supportive Skills Department.
The purpose of the role is to work with the intervention lead to run interventions to support our students in SEND in the academic and social activities of the school. To contribute to raising standards of achievement for all these students and to support key students in lessons. The hours will be 22 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.20 am. – 2.00 pm with 20 minute break, during term time only. Salary commences at £13,197.27 - £13,417.97 per annum, equivalent to £23,500 - £23,893 full time. (Level 2 on the County Council Teaching Assistant pay scale).

Sir Harry Smith Community College is a mixed academy secondary school and Sixth Form for students aged 11-18.
The school was opened in 1953 on the site of Whittlesey Workhouse and is named after the Army General Sir Harry Smith who was born nearby. The school converted to academy status in 2012 and is part of the Aspire Learning Trust along with local primary schools, Park Lane and New Road.
