Job overview

General

  • The main role of the PE Teacher Assistant is to facilitate PE lessons across the Primary and Middle Years Programmes.
  • Assist in PE walking and monitoring of learners as they travel to and from the main ISL campus to the sports hub.
  • Coaching within the School’s Co-curricular Programme, based on availability, and personal interest and skills.
  • Keep equipment stored away appropriately and set up what is required to be used for lessons.
  • Maintaining Department displays.
  • Assisting with PE events organization.
  • Help with the administration of ISSA School tournaments.
  • Help with the administration and oversight of student swim levels.

 

The successful applicant will

  • Have excellent communication skills, and, preferably, have experience of co-teaching or coaching young pupils.
  • Be enthusiastic and engaging, with the ability to motivate and inspire young people.
  • Be self-initiating.
  • Maintain a flexible “can do” approach.
  • Be proficient in at least one of the following sports offered at ISL: volleyball, basketball, football, badminton, tennis.
