Itchen College is looking to appoint a permanent Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will be part of the Support for Learning team that delivers effective support to students with SEND.
The main purpose of the job role is to support and facilitate independent learning for students with additional needs.
This support will be delivered to one or more students, in the classroom, and on a one-to-one or small group basis.
Alongside this, the post holder will be a keyworker for a number of students with high needs.

Itchen College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in Hampshire, serving students from the age of 16-19. The college, situated in Southampton has approximately 1,558 learners on record.
Itchen College was founded in 1906 as a co-educational secondary school and later Itchen Grammar School. It welcomes learners from across the world, with 10% making up international students. Facilities on the campus include a sports centre, performing arts block – features Apple Mac suites, recording studios and soundproof music rooms, and a Student Centre for students to relax in during their study breaks.
