Swaffield is a happy and successful school, committed to its staff and pupils. We need to expand our team of support staff and are looking for the right person to work in Key Stage 2 with a child who has additional needs.
This post will be subject to a six months probationary period and may include lunchtime supervision/activities.
You need enthusiasm, energy and good communication skills. You also need to be flexible, patient, caring, emotionally resilient and confident with children. You need to be willing to undergo specialist training as provided by the school and regular CPD throughout the year. Previous experience working with pupils with learning difficulties is essential for the teaching assistant position and experience with pupils who have physical needs is desirable but not essential.
This role will require some intimate care support. Specialist training will be provided but candidates must be prepared to carry out nappy changes and catheterisation.
