Lumio Private School is a new not-for-profit international school located in Acheleia, near Paphos, Cyprus. The school opened its doors in September 2024 for grades 1 to 9. With a stunning 6.8-hectare site currently undergoing renovation, Lumio offers modern classrooms, well-equipped science and IT labs, dedicated spaces for arts and sports, and a variety of extracurricular activities. The school is conveniently accessible from major motorways.
This is a full-time on-site role as the MFL teaching lead at Lumio Private School. We'd love someone with the ability to reach the hearts of diverse student backgrounds and possess the talent to turn lessons into fun learning experiences. This dynamic position will allow teachers to implement innovative learning strategies and build a learning environment that respects and acknowledges cultural diversity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, with a preference given to holders of a Master's degree (preferably in 2 out of the following languages: German, Russian, Italian, French )
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role at an International School is required.
- In-depth knowledge of modern teaching methods.
- Experience working in an international school setting is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff. Advanced English language proficiency close to native level.
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is highly desirable.
Role Responsibilities
- Execute lessons in your subject area to students from diverse backgrounds. Balance lectures, discussions, and hands-on learning to engage students.
- Employ digital tools to create an interactive and fulfilling educational experience.
- Cultivate an inclusive, positive, and respectful learning environment that acknowledges and celebrates cultural differences.
- Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum and share insightful strategies, ensuring academic progress for all students.
- Take part in various professional development events, be it webinars, workshops, or certified courses to continuously advance yourself in teaching skills and cultural competence.
