About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding college!
Do you have experience in the travel and tourism industry, such as working as Cabin Crew, in Aviation, as a Tour Rep, or in a travel agency? Maybe Hotel experience or as a Tour operator? We're seeking a high-calibre Programme Tutor in Travel & Tourism to join our Retail and Commercial Faculty. This role involves approximately 24 hours of teaching per week and is a vital role for our future plans.
As well as teaching, other responsibilities include:
Managing learner attendance, assessment, progress tracking, and setting SMART targets
Engaging with employers and supporting learner personal development, behaviors, and welfare
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the new NCFE programme for Travel and Tourism
- Promote excellence in teaching, learning, and assessment
- Organize teaching and learning for specific learner groups
- Provide excellent customer service both internally and externally
- Set value-adding targets for learners to achieve their full potential
What We're Looking For:
To succeed as a Programme Tutor in Travel and Tourism, you will need:
- Relevant industry experience and a qualification in Travel and Tourism
- A recognised teaching qualification and previous classroom experience
- Commitment to personal CPD
- Knowledge of UK awarding bodies for Travel and Tourism and experience in FE
- Ability to challenge and inspire learners to achieve their full potential
The right individual will join a supportive faculty team that includes other curriculum areas, to secure high quality curriculum delivery and progression pathways as well as develop a flexible delivery model to suite both full time and part time learners, on site and off site/on-line learning.

Oldham College was established in 1893 following a donation from the Platt family who were famously manufacturers of textile machinery. Their generosity led to the institution of the school for art and science in Oldham Town Centre.
