Level 3 Apprenticeship Rates

Under 18 years - £12,925 per annum

18-20 years - £17,170 per annum

21+ years - £22,359 per annum

We are looking for a work placement administrator to join us in the Careers, Work Experience & Progression team as part of the Student Life Directorate. We lead on activities and strategies which contribute to an outstanding student experience closely aligned with the college and group strategic objectives. 

The work placement Administrator Apprentice will be based at Park Lane with regular travel amongst our other campuses.

Working alongside the work placement team. You will act as key support for administrative duties that will aid the coordination of high-quality work placements and work experience activities for students across a variety of curriculum areas such as Childcare, Health and social care, Engineering, Travel Food and Drink, Digital and Leeds Sixth Form to name a few.

What You Will Do

  • Carry out the administrative duties associated with work placements, such as inputting information on the Work Experience online portal and tracking systems.
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring student completion of required reflective logs and time sheets.
  • Coordinate out evaluations process for work placements and work experience activities, as directed by the Work Placement Team Coordinator.
  • Provide an appropriate level of support and point of contact for students & employers before, during and following a work placement to secure a successful outcome.
  • Undertake a range of general administration duties including word processing, production of spreadsheets and updating of college information systems. 

About You

  •  Q1. Good general education to at least NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Q2. Literacy and Numeracy at Level 2 or above and willingness to improve in one or both disciplines
  • Q3. Completion of Level 3 customer service apprenticeship within 18 months of starting role

 Experience & Knowledge

 Criteria

  • EK1. Understanding of the benefits of work experience 
  • EK2. Knowledge and understanding of the further education curriculum
  • EK5. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google applications

  •   SC1. Good written communication skills
  • SC2. Proven ability in administration tasks 
  • SC3. Good communication skills with the ability to relate to, and work with, students from age 14 to adult, colleagues and employers
  • SC4. Ability to maintain resilience and a positive “can do” attitude when facing challenges
  • SC5. Ability to manage own time and work to deadlines
