The Area of a Triangle Using Sine

(13)
Here is a power point that introduces this topic and includes some examples. The two attached word documents are two versions of a match up type activity. The students have to then put the cards in order showing how the formula for the area of a triangle using sine has been developed. The harder version includes gaps that the students need to fill in. The final card refers to a problem that the class could be given at the start of the lesson, hence explaining the need for an additional formula.

Higher GCSE Maths Exam Q and A Ppt (Grades 4 to 7)

(4)

Powerpoint with mixed higher GCSE maths exam questions and answers, one or two questions and answers per slide. Also included is a booklet of questions that the students could complete individually before you go through as a whole class. Aimed at grades 4 to 7, questions taken from Edexcel past papers. I put this together so that I could revise what I’ve covered in year 10 whilst still continuing the course in year 11, so questions only cover approx half the spec (and nothing too tricky).
