Fully editable power point to provide feedback for results of your book marking. I usually select a random sample of books to mark to get an overview of attainment in the class. Each student receives a copy of this sheet after you have marked their books. There is a space to comment on the positives you have observed, ways to make make progress, and a quick DIRT task. I normally display this on the board and discuss spelling, punctuation, and grammar issues that I have noted so that students can make appropriate corrections.

I have created a knowledge organiser to support spelling, punctuation, and grammar at KS3 and KS4. There are various ways this resource can be used, such as: setting revision for one box of information per week, having it on the students’ desks or in their exercise books for reference, using them for low stakes quizzes at the beginning of lessons, or putting on your school website for parents/carers to view and use to support home learning. This resource is fully editable on a Power Point. The information has been gathered based on common misconceptions at my school. This is a fully resourced, 25 lesson, scheme of work for studying Romeo and Juliet at KS3. The focus of the unit is to explore the notion of whether love is always a positive force. The scheme begins with some contextual background knowledge before going on to exploring the play through a series of extracts that highlight different types of love. Each lesson includes a Power Point with any resources included on the final slides. The resources are also contained within a booklet that can be printed for each student. There are a range of comparisons to modern day factors such as feminism, youth violence, and Fundamental British Values throughout the unit.
