E safety assembly script Safer Internet day

(0)

An assembly about the SMART rules of e-safety.
Useful to present around Safer Internet Day but relevant for any time of the year.
It was originally written for a KS2 class to perform to the whole school but could easily be adapted for more or less speakers.
We gave out red/green flashcards to the audience to encourage audience participation.

NOTE: I have removed some images on the PowerPoint and replaced with advice on what to insert instead as I didn’t want to share some of the personal examples we used.
I take no credit for the video clip - it’s a newsround special (see link in PowerPoint)

Christmas xmas play production script. Adaptable for social distancing / COVID. The golden ticket

The Golden Ticket
A Christmas production script originally written for a small SEN school but easily adapted to suit individual school’s needs. No religious message, involves a secular theme of winning a ticket to have a tour around Santa’s workshop.
Intended for 2 main characters (Santa & winning child) who will feature throughout the whole play, then various class scenes with some speaking parts.

9 scenes in total however easy to just cut out some of the class scenes if needed without needing to change any other scene.

Scene 1: The Golden Ticket (short scene)
Scene 2: Meeting Santa (short scene, main characters only)
Scene 3: Mail Room (whole class scene)
Scene 4: Toy Workshop (whole class scene)
Scene 5: Wrapping Room (whole class scene)
Scene 6: Reindeer Stables (whole class scene)
Scene 7: Sleigh Mechanics (whole class scene)
Scene 8: Canteen (short optional scene)
Scene 9: Goodbye Santa (short scene, whole school songs)

Update: adapted version includes changes to scene 5. My class wanted to add in some lines relating to the word pun of ‘rapping’ compared to ‘wrapping’.

2020 update:
I have not changed the file content at all but it could be easily adapted to suit coronavirus social distancing and ‘bubbles’. For example, each class could perform their scene in the classroom or one ‘bubble’ could perform the whole play with a small group taking each scene, filming it and editing together to share with parents.

Please note: all songs and media links are suggested only - I do not own any media and take no responsibility for ensuring that all copyright laws are acknowledged before any performances.

multiplying and dividing by 100 & 1000

(2)
Powerpoint presentation demonstrating how the digits move along the columns to multiply and divide numbers (including decimals) by 100 and 1000. I found it worked very well with a group of year 6 children when they had individual whiteboards to write each answer before showing on the IWB. I'm an NQT so any advice or suggestions are very warmly welcomed!
