<p>This Homework booklet is designed for 6 weeks of homework tasks for a year 10 class studying the new Eduqas Performing Arts award.</p> <p>The idea of the booklet is to get students used to writing about their lesson experiences and also encourage reflection/evaluation.</p> <p>The booklet can be adapted to suit other needs too.</p>

<p>This is an introduction to Drama with around 3-4 lessons worth of basic skills to work through at the beginning of term. This includes still images, improvisation and mime. It will need to be edited to suit the knowledge of the teacher.</p>

<p>6 Lessons of Oliver Twist exploration.</p> <p>Normally I would watch the first half of the film on youtube then begin practically exploring it after this.</p> <p>This SOW works on characterisation and musical theatre - it allows students to sing ‘food glorious food’ or ‘consider yourself’.</p> <p>The final assessment can be a final musical theatre performance where students choreograph their own version of the songs explored during lessons.</p> <p>It’s a fun SOW that year 7’s really enjoy.</p> <p>Resources include costume design for Oliver as HW and a worksheet that can be used during the film part of the SOW.</p>

<p>This is a 3 lesson workshop which works through various make-up designs for the technical award.</p> <p>The workshop is very practical based which means there may be gaps of time that would be filled with the students designing.</p> <p>The 3 designs covered:</p> <p>Fantasy<br /> Age<br /> Street make up</p> <p>You will need supplies to complete the lesson or ask students to bring in their own equipment.</p>

You can adapt the Kinky boots information to suit your choice of live theatre.</p> <p>The multiple choice section is also included with diagrams of stage types and relevant information on theatre makers.</p>
