Fun and Exciting Class Game on Politics

(1)

This fun and exciting class game can be used to teach some key concepts in International Relations theory, but the game can also be used more generally as a team-building exercise with the looser aim of getting GCSE and A Level students interested in politics and international relations. The games lasts approximately 45mins - 1 hour, so it can fill up a whole lesson if you want it to!

I have taught Politics and International Relations for many years now. Every year, my summer school students tell me that this game was the highlight of their course. In fact, I have had students stay after class to play the game again instead of going on their break! My students were aged 13-15, but the game will work for anyone over the age of 12.

The rules are not too complicated, and you’d be surprised at how quickly students pick it up when they’re feeling competitive. Included in this PDF file are all the rules and the templates that you need.
