Nursery Rhyme Yearly Progression Document

(0)

After an OFSTED inspection in EYFS it came to my understanding that they look for a progression document for Nursery Rhymes. We use Nursery Rhymes everyday however I didn’t have the document to prove this. There was nothing online to show a clear document with Nursery Rhymes on therefore I made my own. Now I have clear progression documents and it makes it easier for me as I know each week which Nursery Rhyme my class are focusing on.

Includes appropriate ELG.

These ‘Days of the week’ folder labels are great for sticking on individual folders to organise resources for the week. I printed mine out and laminated them, then used double sided sticky tape to attach to my folders.( Please email goold.lauren@gmail.com if you’d like me to print and laminate them for you as i am happy to send these out for an additional charge)

Having these throguhout my PGCE year has been a great way to stay organised and prevent carrying around huge folders!

WOW Line

Positive praise line. This WOW line can be used with a peg to give the children a visual for when they are impressing you with good work/behaviour. This can be used with individual children who are struggling with behaviour for learning or need an external motivation or for whole class teaching. I have found it a great tool to promote the class to work together as a team to acheive. You can also move the peg down the ‘WOW Line’ in the event of negative behaviour which in turn means that the children need to work as a group to move back up the line to reach the end goal by the end of the lesson/day.

Please email me at goold.lauren@gmail.com if you would like me to print and laminate this resource and send you it with a ‘WOW peg’ in the post for an additional fee.

Phase 2 Tricky word Tops

Phase 2 tricky word tops. These are a great resource for practicing phase 2 tricky words. I have often used these and role-played hanging washing out on a piece of string- letting the children pick a top out of a basket and say what the tricky word is before working as a class to read all of the tricky words on the line.

If you would like these printing and laminating I would be happy to send you these in the post for an additional cost. If this is something that would intrest you please email me at goold.lauren@gmail.com.

Thanks
Lauren

This bookmark is full of all the ‘Teacher Lingo’/ acronyms I have come across so far. It could be hole punched and added to the front of your trainee file to prevent any future confusion! I’ve printed mine out and put them back to back before laminating them to keep it looking fresh. I hope this helps fellow student teachers get their heads around what feels like a different language!
