Two revision lessons (one for FT and one for HT) designed for Y11 for the AQA spec. It’s quite long - I have taught this over a double period but could be split into two.

Contains: lesson starter, teach/do sections aimed to cover all key parts of the spec - slides have gaps on and there is an accompanying A3 sheet (revision mat) to print for each student which matches the slides, a demo and questions to ask for each required practical, an individual task (6 mark exam Q practice with sentence starter support on the slides), and an AfL quiz for each section.
All answers are included on the ppt and animated to appear in green.

Two fully resourced lessons which I teach as the 3rd and 4th lessons in the Electricity topic. Suitable for a higher ability Y10 class. Designed for AQA.
First lesson covers definition of resistance and why we experience resistance in a wire and the required practical activity to investigate how resistance varies with the length of the wire. Note: I teach this before teaching Ohms law so the equation is used to calculate resistance but is not fully explained.
Second lesson has a set of model results for students to use to draw a graph, with exam question practice on the practical.
Contains lesson starters, teach section, practical task, individual task (exam Q practice), AfL quiz and plenary. All answers to tasks are included on ppt.

A fully resourced lesson intended as the first lesson in the Electricity topic. Suitable for a higher ability Y10 class. Designed for AQA but would be suitable for other exam boards. Covers circuit symbols, definition of current and the defining equation for current.
Contains a lesson starter, paired task, teach section, mini-whiteboard quiz AfL activity, individual task and plenary. All answers to tasks are included on ppt.

A fully resourced lesson walking students through why total resistance is the sum of thee resistance of each component in a series circuit. I teach this lesson after covering current, p.d., resistance of a wire and Ohms law but before introducing parallel circuits in the Electricity topic. Suitable for a higher ability Y10 class. Designed for AQA.
Includes a step by step modelled example to show how resistance works in series.
Contains a lesson starter, teach section, mini-whiteboard AfL activity, individual task and extension task.
All answers to tasks are included on ppt.

A fully resourced lesson intended as the second lesson in the Electricity topic. Suitable for a higher ability Y10 class. Designed for AQA but would be suitable for other exam boards.
Covers definition of potential difference with the corresponding equation and a practical activity to investigate how p.d. is shared across components in series.
Contains a lesson starter, teach section, practical task, individual task (eqn practice), AfL activity and plenary. All answers to tasks are included on ppt.
