A translation lesson with a code breaker starter (might have to tweak this), demonstrations, main activity sheet (taken from TES), extension work and an exam question plenary (also with a self reflection exercise to finish off).
This was delivered to a low ability year 10 group. Visual aids given for both SEN and EAL students.
Lesson on solving linear simultaneous equations graphically, very simple and quick paced. 50 minute lesson. Conceptual plenary with a twist. I was observed by OFSTED in this lesson and the feedback was 'excellent challenge', 'excellent pace', 'excellent planning'. Some examples are challenging, ideal for higher ability groups who have covered plotting linear graphs previous but may need a reminder (Grade B)
