<p>Lesson 1 for introducing A Level Students to Media under the Eduqas examination board. and the layout of the course as of 2024</p> <p>This includes:</p> <ul> <li>Expectations of media and overview of the course</li> <li>Intro to media language- students tasked to write the definitions of the four elements of media</li> <li>Exploring meaning through symbols</li> <li>Key terms for denotation and connotation</li> </ul> <p>Note: This lesson is short to give time for teacher introductions and any set up and structure on computers or books.</p>

<p>These slides can be used for Summer School or add on lessons within art and design. The there are 3 lessons taking you through some experimental pieces of art which are simple to follow and fun for the students completing them. Each activity can be extended so the lessons take twice as long, and there are student examples throughout the slides.
